Default Wing Commander Herbert Ashton Clark

I am trying to trace any records, photos, articles, etc. about my wife's grandfather the said Herbert Ashton Clark (RAF no. 43414). He joined up in 1928 and served in various squadrons through to 1956.
    70 Sqd (35-37)
    215 Sqd (38-40)
37 Sqd (40-43) eventually Wing Cmdr

    Anything gratefully received.

    Thanks

    Hello

There's a published history of No. 37 Squadron, "Wise without eyes", which might be interesting for you to get, if not done already.

    Hi,

His NCO number 532059 indicates he enlisted around April/May 1936.

Joss - I'll track down a copy. Thanks.

Terry - thanks for all the Gazette links. I can see what I'll be doing this weekend.

Mark - thanks for narrowing down the enlistment date.

    Regards to all,

    Nick
