    Default LAC W.S. Frankowski (RCAF)

    Hi all,

I am seeking info on Leading Aircraftman W. S. Frankowski (possibly Walter Stephen Frankowski), R258670, from Winnipeg. Any detail appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Fox.

    Hi,

No, I think this is the man: http://passages.winnipegfreepress.co...er_Frankowski/

Yet I cannot find anything related to his service.

I just got off the phone with his old Legion Branch. I will be talking to someone in the office on Monday morning. Are you in Canada? If so, send me an e-mail with your phone number and I will call you.

    Cheers...Chris

    G'day Fox

I finally talked to the president of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch in Beausejour, Manitoba. Not much information but a good starting point. Walter enlisted in the Royal Canadian Air Force on the 19th of June, 1942. He served in Canada and overseas before being discharged in July of 1946.

Next step is contacting the National Archives in Ottawa.

    I'll keep you posted.

    Cheers...Chris
