    Default 428 Sqn Wellington DF635, 8 Apr 1943

    Hello All,

I have just learned that Robert M. Buckham, author of Forced March to Freedom, was one of my Malvern men. Could someone give me the loss info for his crew?

His story has been covered here after his obituary appeared in the Telegraph in 2004 (he died 30 Dec 2003 at 85).

    thanks
    David

From one of Henk's posts, the aircraft was shot down by a night fighter over the target, all crew PoW.

    Hi,
According to Theo Boiten's book Nachtjagd it is noted that Wellington DF635 was shot down by a night fighter however no claim by a pilot has been found.

    Regards,

    John.
