    Default RAF Nether Wallop

A station was named RAF Nether Wallop following the occupation of RAF Middle Wallop by the USAAF IX Fighter Command from 1943 and consisted as far as I know of Wallop House (their HQ) in Nether Wallop village as well as a new site known as B Camp in Over Wallop. I am wondering if anybody has any additional details as per the ground units involved until the closure of the sites in early 1946. My interest is because both my parents were there at this time having been transferred from Hurn.

    G4MHJ, Hi, and welcome,
Try Googling 'RAF Nether Wallop'. You will get stuff from Malcolm's RAFWEB, and also from Airfield Information Exchange (AiX). You might have to do a lot of 'poking about' to get any further. Somebody will know! It's just a question of finding who does! Happens all the time on this Forum!!!
