Dear Members,

First of all I would like to send my wishes for a Happy New Year full of Health, Happiness and Prosperity.
I am searching of the ID and S/n of a RHAF/336Sqn Spitfire possibly Mk.IX that was shot down on 25/09/1947 crash landing near the Village Homori, Nafpactias, the aircraft based at Elefsis AFB, was operating from the Agrinio LG against Communists, pilot Flight Officer D. Soufrilas escaped with minor injuries.
Recently the port aileron of the aircraft was found in the area inside an old barn house and on it there are two data plates on one of them are scribed the following:
TYPE
SERIAL No
W. B.LTD /CABF 8090 6
MOD 150
319B
See image
I believe the No 8090 is the aircraft construction Number allotted by the Manufacturer Castle Bromwich Aircraft Factory
So can anyone tell to which S/N this No. corresponds?
Thank you in advance for your time and concern to my query

Kind Regards
Yiannis
