Default Central School of Aircraft Recognition

I am trying to establish the location of the Central School of Aircraft Recognition in June 1943.
The description on the National Archives file (AIR 29/1135) shows Southport (but other internet sources state Sutton-On-Hull from June 1942)

Assuming Southport is correct, would this have been RAF Woodvale? Also, does anyone have any information on the courses held there at that time.

Any help would be much appreciated.

    Regards

    Pete

    Default A/C Recognition School

    G'day Pete

This gen was listed in an R.A.F. pub as of September, 1944.

    Central School of Aircraft Recognition

Postal Address - Kenworthy's Hydro, Southport, Lancs.

    Telegraphic Address - Aeronautics, Southport

    Telephone Number - Southport 55506/8

For the same time period listed above. Woodvale did not appear to have any association with this school.

    Cheers...Chris

    Thanks Chris

I saw that information in a previous thread and was trying to validate it; can I ask what publication you are quoting from?
