    Hello,

I went through some digital newspapers, date 5 Oct. 1946.

Just a short summary from the newspapers:

    RAF 575 Sqn Transport Command

It was a RAF C-47 regular Friday courier plane from Bucharest to Bari, forced to land near Nis. Not shot down. A crew of 4 or 5 man. No casualties.

(Friday must be 4 Oct. 1946).

    Regards

    Hello,

I am aware, but not according The Glasgow Herald - Oct 7, 1946.

    R.A.F. Stops Flights Over Yugoslavia

"This move follows the forcing down of the R.A.F. Dakota of the 575th Squadron of Transport Command at Nish, Yugoslavia, on Friday while on a regular flight from Bucharest to Bari, Italy."

    Hello Finn,

thank you so much for your finds. I think that you found accurate information regarding to this event over Yugoslavia. May be that 575sq ORB or other records contains Dakotas serial number and crew for this particular flight over Yugoslavia or somebody from forum members can helps with this info.

    thank you

    Milan
