For LAC (Wop) Hugh C. BLINMAN, 1716531, I've on file:

The SBA (Standard Beam Approach)Station was overrun at Flixton airfield by Liberator 42-50306 "Dragon Lady" of 446BG killing two RAF-men in the hut and the entire crew of the Liberator when the a/c swung off. Second RAF-man killed in the accident was Cpl (Wop) Leslie G. REYNOLDS, 1508795.

Another old thread (2006) proved useful for TURTON, it states:

My Father FO George Turton, aged 38, was killed in an enemy bombing raid on Gosport Airfield, Near Portsmouth, on 27 April 1944 while serving with RAF Movement Control.

G'day

Harvey was killed after colliding with Hurricane 5701 during an aerial exercise. The crash took place at 14:30 hours at Cannaan Village which is four miles from Kentville, Nova Scotia.

The pilot of Hurricane 5701 was J15294 Flying Officer R. M. Brooks.

Other pilots taking part indicated that their windscreens iced up completely while flying through cloud completely obscuring their vision.

Harold Newell 143589 , a serving officer , but with no unit appended in his records . Was found dead in Bolton Abbey of self inflicted gun shot wounds with his revolver by his side

Donald David Alliston 1218448 , attached to 119 MU , was seriously burned when an Anson in which he was a passenger , force landed on 24 April. He was admitted dangerously injured to the Government Hospital, Bahrein, where he died at 02:40 Hours
