    Default Church Fenton Crash Information

I have just joined this forum as I am trying to find some information on a Crash which occurred some time between 1945 and 1950 in a field just outside Kippax, Yorkshire.
As the site is close to Church Fenton I am assuming the plane (don't know anymore details) probably set off from there.
I understand that two airmen survived the crash and were temporarily looked after by local residents.
Can anyone throw any light on this incident please,
    Thankyou

    Hello,

I have a note of a Mosquito T.3 TV968 of 264 Squadron crashing in a forced landing at Kippax 18/11/46. The crew were Johnson A and Chalmers. You may be able to extract more from a local newspaper.

The accident card says that the starboard engine caught fire in flight and the pilot made a wheels up forced landing. The fire, however, gutted the aircraft.
