    Default No.15 (P)AFU Oxford I BG635 24-7-1943

    Hello,

Seeking information on No.15 (P)AFU Oxford I BG635, which crash-landed Ashford Hill, near Greenham Common, on 24-7-1943. Would someone have the crew make-up?

    Thanks,

    Col.

    Hi Ross,

Thanks for those names. l was trying to ascertain if one AUS3183 F/Sgt (Pilot) Samuel Harrington Considine THROWER RAAF*, was aboard BG635 on 24-7-1943. F/Sgt Thrower RAAF (of 15 [P]AFU), was hospitalized at RAF Wroughton on 24-7-1943. l thought he may have been involved in the crash-landing of BG635. Given those two names, l think not.

l'll do a bit more digging.

    * F/Sgt Thrower RAAF, was killed in the crash of No.21 OTU Wellington IC DV918, on 16-11-1943 (BCL5/262).

    Thanks once again,

    Col.

Could it be he was on Oxford but his name accidently omitted from F1180 - Unless he did have a non-aircraft related incident this seems most likely Unlesws someone can get visibility of 15 PAFU ORB
