Default A thank you from 'digger'

    Greetings All.
I would like to thank all of those who, over the years, have assisted me in answering so many queries.

Due to health and age reasons I am withdrawing from my years of research, ‘snail mail’ to computers and shades of teleprinters in the Middle East 1940’s!

It has been great to have made so many genuine contacts, both lads & lassies on such a well run site as this rafcommands under Ross McNeil and now Jagan, firm but fair, my thanks to them and the teams working with them.

I will still have my ‘beady eye’ watching events, what a job to give it all up.

    God Bless and thanks again,

    Digger.

I'm sorry to hear of your decision regarding your research.
You have been a great help to me, and others on the forum over the past years.

All my best wishes to you and your wife.

    Warmest regards,

    Dear Digger,
We have never communicated, but it is down to people like you that this has become the friendliest and well mannered forum that it is. I am sure that the great Henk would be proud of the way you have made your final bow from the stage, but rest assured that if you ever felt the need to require one more question to be answered, then you would be very welcome at any time. In the meantime, enjoy reading up on all your research and enjoy beating us in the rugby.
    Best wishes
    James

    Digger,

We've communicated occasionally re: my 1 Group research, and I have always benefited greatly from your knowledge when I've come calling. I recall too, on more than one occasion, some light-hearted banter when Wales have come in second best to the ABs in the rugby. Our time will come!!

Enjoy your "retirement", and pop by occasionally to say hello.

    Best wishes,

    To all who replied,
They were very nice words indeed and to include my wife was that little bit extra that makes this web site what it is.

Cheer up James, rugby and cricket will bind us altogether.

As mentioned, I will keep my beady eyes open and keep track of you all.
    Tagain,
    Cheers,
    Digger.
