Default Robert Frederick Sykes J86398 102 Squadron

Helping a reader of my web pages to find more information on a relative, Robert Frederick Sykes J86398 102 Squadron. We have the CWGC info, but would be interested to know what crew position he was, aircraft serial and codes, and any other info about the loss on 15 February 1944.

In a bit of a rush, so I haven't done an in-depth check but I believe that Halifax LW339 DY-F is the aircraft, shot down by Flak, crashing 20.30 at Bartelshagen .... some sites suggest that RF Sykes was the Air Bomber ... anyway, hope this is a useful start point (a quick google points to various sites with more detailed information on this loss)

    Regards

    Pete
