    Default Charlton, J. Allen P.O.W. Stalag Luft III

    I would be grateful if someone can provide me with the details behind Charlton, J. Allen becoming a POW. His wartime address was 9 Dick Road, Kilmarnock. I would like to know where when and how he was shot down and what aircraft he was a crew member of. Below are the details that I have on him.

    I think he was on Liberator AL534 of 159 Sq. attacking Benghazi lost 23/7/1942. 1 crew member in Benghazi War Cem. and 1 on Allamein Memorial.
