Start with "Aerodrome of Democracy" by Hatch, available as a free pdf at http://www.cmp-cpm.forces.gc.ca/dhh-...Lang=1&BfId=20 . This will help you understand what all those Brits were doing in Canada at the time. The 32 OTU daily diary is available on microfilm from LAC, through your local library. Checkout their web site at http://www.bac-lac.gc.ca/eng/Pages/home.aspx , this will tell you how to send a request in to determine the reel number containing 32 OTU information. Take this reel number to any Canadian library, and they will help you request the reel. It takes a while, but it is worth the wait.

Am commissioning a fine art piece depicting L7056 and, hopefully, her crew.

Beyond tracking down families of the three RAF crew members, which we will be attempting to do at the appropriate time, are there any other ways to locate crew photos for:

Pilot: Sgt Robert Ernest Luckock, 1332144
Navigator: P/O Charles George Fox, 1336878
Navigator: P/O Antony William Lawrence, 1333943

My understanding is that 32 OTU, Patricia Bay, was formed around an RAF unit that transferred from West Kirby in Cheshire in late 1941 but don't know if that is helpful re an incident that happened on October 1942.

Rob, Hi,

Just a minor point. Lawrence’s Commissioned number was 129408, and Fox’s was 129395. The numbers shown in post #22 were their Enlisted numbers. That close together might mean that they knew each other in their early training?

By way of an update, the crew of Anson L7056 were confirmed as on board back in May and will be buried together on November 10 in Victoria, BC.

Our documentary 'Seventy-One Years' will premiere in Victoria the following day, Remembrance Day.

We had the great fortune to meet the families of all four crew members.
