Default AM Form 78 and AM Form 59

    Hello Gents,

Does anyone know the difference between an AM Form 78 and 59. Both are recording the movements of an aircraft, but except the presentation I don't really see the difference.

    Who can open my eyes?

    Thanks
    Phil

Hi, I got to the same point as Phil, anybody can bring any light on these two forms?

    TIA

I've wondered about that too. When researching Fortresses I noted that Fortress Is AN518 and AN 520 were recorded AM Form 78s while the other 18 examples were recorded on AM Form 59s. All the later Fortress IIAs and IIs were recorded on AM Form 78s so would guess there was a form changeover around mid-1941.
