a possibility for Croxford and Snell is Beaufighter V8324 which crashed 'Barton in the Clay area'.

Two of the crew of the Halifax that my brother lost his life In are reported missing on the Runnymead Memorial.they lost thier lives on the 17 6 44 they are as follows 1483480 Flt Sgt William J McCarroll Panel 220 and 929824 Sgt Ronald A Crawford Panel 227 there is also a grave in
Stonewall Cemetery marked Unknown Airman Died 17 6 44 Either Flt Sgt William McCarroll or Sgt Ronald A Crawford My Brother Is buried at
this Cemetery Next to the Pilot I think you are doing a fantastic job having taken over from Henk a million thanks

SNELL, Raymond - Sgt (Nav) - 1481857 - the National Probate Calendar records that Snell died at Silsoe, which lies some 3 miles north of Barton-le-Clay.
