    Default R F PLANT 168 pilot

Could anyone tell me more about F/L R F Plant who flew Typhoons with 168 Squadron.
I believed he survived being shot down on 29th Dec 1944.
Is there any record of who shot him down?
I can't find an entry in Commonwealth War Graves site and there is an Roy Forster PLANT (135149) who relinquishes his commission on 18th Feb. 1957.
Did he evade capture and return to his squadron or was he held as a POW? If so where?

    Any info would be good

If you check the list of Air Force PoWs linked the RAFCommands home page, it gives his service number as 135149.

Thomas and Shores' Typhoon and Tempest Story has Typhoon MN639 QC-S of 168 Sqn lost, with F/L R.F. Plant PoW. From the same authors' 2nd Tactical Air Force, Vol2, it seems it was shot down by FW-190s of JG54 at around 10.50am.

    Thanks for that.
Annoyingly it does not list the POW camp
