    Default Halifax (35 Squadron)

Can anyone confirm if (a) there was a Halifax L9671 and (b) whether it was allocated to 35 Squadron. The ORB's show L9571 being delivered in October 1941 but sorties are then assigned to L9671 (which I think may be wrong).

Also, could anyone advise if and when Halifax R9367, L9569 and L9540 were taken on strength by 35 Squadron.

Any help would be much appreciated

    Regards

    Pete

I've looked in the Air Britain "Halifax File".

There appears to be no: L9671 as a Halifax, nor L9540.

The books says L9569 was taken on charge between 25 Jun and 25 Sep 41.

As for R9367, this is shown first at 10 Sqn, then its HCF before going successively to 35, 1652HCU and 1658 HCU before a tyre burst and u/c collapse on 17 Aug 43.

Haven't got any better info than that, I'm afraid.
