Default J Serials & K Serials 1931 Armstrong Whitworth Atlas Lookusp

    All

In the second half of 1931 there was (to me) an unknown RAF Parachute/ Baleout from an Armstrong Whitworth Atlas during Ab-Initio Solo Pilot Training. Based on evidence I have it was between July 22 1931 and October 19. The cause of incident was

Atlas Pupil spun involuntarily: did not give aeroplane time to recover. Atlas with Slots Sealed rather than with Slots Unsealedand parachuted

I was wondering if anyone could look up the circumstances of the loss of the following J and K Serial Atlas and se if circumstances 'match' anything?

    11 Aug 1931 J9467 AW Atlas Oasby, Lincs -- 3 FTS Oasby
    9 Sep 1931 K1015 AW Atlas unknown 4 FTS
1 Oct J9960 AW Atlas Ismailia, Egypt
10 Oct J9476 AW Atlas Welby, Lincs

    Thanks

Out of all those J9467 3FTS stalled and crashed Oasby, Lincs, 11.8.31 looks like it needs further investigation
