    Default Anson N9945 BATDU

    Is anyone able to confirm the name of the pilot of this machine which crashed at Birmingham 8-9/11/40 after hitting a balloon cable.

    I have the rest of the crew; Goldsmith, Biggs, Murphy and McGeogh.

    It is possible that the pilot was Frederick P Fry 44409 who's death is unaccounted for on this day but I have been unable to find his name in the death registers for confirmation.

    Don't know if it helps but all 5 are listed in the SAME RAF Casualty list as KoAS


    So while not 100% proof, it is a good indication that he could have been the pilot
