    Default Alec Ian Lindsay,RAFVR

I am Alec lindsay's grandson. I found an interesting series of exhanges concerning my Grandfather on this site so I signed up try and link in with that thread but I can't seem to link in with the same thread via the search engine. Therefore, I am simply posting this thread to generate any feed back concerning my grand father and his contribution to the battle of britain and the fight for Malta which cost him his life. Thank you.

    Default Uffz Herribert Wagner

I was very happy finding the thread conserning P/O Alec Lindsay some weeks ago, because I am the nephew of the there mentioned Uffz Herribert Wagner. Since years I have been trying to get more information on his career in the Luftwaffe than I had known so far: pilot of 5./JG 53, missed in action over Malta on October 23rd, 1942, and his second and last grave in Cagliari on Sicilia, which I was lucky to visit two times during my career in the German Air Force.
I thank You all for Your contribution to this thread. Nevertheless I would be interested in knowing a little bit more about the AAA battery having shot him down and the circumstances.
    Kind regards,
    Jürgen.
