    Default 65 Squadron Mustangs

Doe's anyone possibly have and details on a Flt Lt R. Sims who flew with 65 Squadron in the late 1940's (44/45). Trying trace his service number, and how long he stayed in the service.

As I'm trying to trace him (if still alive) and any living relatives, and the page that he's on in the ORB with service number is unreadable to the naked eye.

    Hope some might help ?

    Andrew,

    This could be him-

    LG 28 Oct 41; Acting P/O to be P/O eff. 22 Oct 41; R. SIMS (104890)

LG 14 Jan 44: Mentioned in Despatches; Acting F/L R. SIMS (104890) RAFVR

    LG 21 Jun 55; F/O retaining rank of F/L, relenquishes commission 30 Apr 55; R. SIMS (104890) RAFVR

    Andrew,

Ken is very likely correct, I think. The Oct 1946 AFL index lists this man (as 'released') as the only Sims with the single initial of R.
