Default 501 Sqn in escort of 105 Sqn Blenheims to Bolougne on 28.08.1940 ?

    Hello,
Does any have an access to 501 Sqn ORB?
I would like to check if there`s any record of a mission of escorting Blenheims from 105 Sqn on 28 August 1940 to Boulogne.
    Any assistance would be appreciated.
    Regards,
    Greg

    Hi Greg,
I have checked the ORB for August 28th and can confirm that there is no mention of escorting 105 Squadron Blenheim's.

    Gerry,
    Many thanks for your info.
Could you just tell me if there were any offensive patrols of 501 Sqn aircraft over French coast (Boulogne area) flown that day?

    Hi
There is no mention of either 105 squadron or France / Boulogne.
Aircraft movements are listed as 'Active ops' with no additional details so they don't reveal anything.

Perhaps 105 squadrons ORB will reveal a bit more but unfortunately I don't have access to that.

    Regards
    Gerry

    Greg,

Move up to Wings (AIR 26), Groups (AIR 25) and Commands (AIR 24) information.

    That may be useful.

    Greg,

The No.105 ORB (Air27/826) does not record any flights on August 28th at all, it jumps from the 27th to 29th.
