Can anyone confirm the right date?

    Hello

BELL, Joseph William - Sgt (Pilot) - 1495200 - findagrave.com has a photo of his headstone, inscribed 8th March 1944:

    https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/...hoto=119162803

EDKINS, Samuel Joseph - LAC - 1183397 - the National Probate Calendar records that he died at The Retreat, Great Burstead, Essex.

SMITH, David - AC1c - 346830 - he's on the Statutory Deaths Register on the Scotland's People website, but the scan is very faint - looks like he died of pulmonary TB. I've asked for a re-scan...

    Of those registered at Hendon:

EVANS, Harold Lloyd - AC2c - 1860673 - the Chelmsford Chronicle of August 11th 1944 reported that he was 'killed by enemy action in Southern England.'

HARRIS, James - AC1c - 131367 - similarly, the North Devon Journal of August 10th 1944 records that he died 'through enemy action.'

SHARP, Sydney - AC1c - 951744 - the Derby Daily Telegraph of August 7th 1944 reported his death 'by enemy action while serving in this country.'

    Regards

    Simon

    Hello

SMITH, David - AC1c - 346830 - the Scotland's People team have re-scanned the file. He died at 12 midnight at Glenalmond Sanatorium due to pulmonary TB, from which he had been suffering for approximately five years.

    Regards

    Simon
