    Default Caterpillar club.

Hi....I have been left a book by a family member...Sir Alan Cyril Davies ...ex Air Marshall RAF....It is ....international caterpillar club 1925 - 1933.I was wondering if Sir Alan was himself a member of the club?..The book lists all international members from the stated years with a story from each one.Would there have been a similiar book for later years?...This book was printed 1934.Many thanks...

I only know of one other copy in private hands. Yes there was one published in 1935 and 1936. I have a photo copy of the 1934 version you have and I know someone here has access to 1935 version. Seattle museum of flight had 1936 version they checked some info for me

It was privately published by company is not many copies in circulation. I would suggest very rare. Never seen a version for sale myself.

I would be interested myself if didn't have info already

I will check if he member upto 1940 but name does not

I was thinking it is one of those things it would be worth a lot to a collector but that is all. But for value suppliers have to meet buyers and I do not know if buyers out there?

In a previous life I would have hapy paid 3 figures for a copy but not now

    Paul -

Wikipedia shows him as commissioned in 1943.

If he ever was with Caterpillar club, it must be after 1942 i guess.

For more details of his career see http://www.rafweb.org/Biographies/Davies_AC.htm but can't help with a bail out
