I can find the following listed as DOAS in the late 1944 magazines
J A Fleet, G H Shaw, C H Snuggs
I cannot seem to find Brock, Cashin, Maskell, Blyth in Flight magazines.
The National Wills/Probate Calender gives C J Brocks place of death as 'Berkshire and Buckinghamshire Joint Sanitorium', Peppard, Oxfordshire. He was from Oxford.
Blyth is mentioned at this link as having died of wounds from the crash of Stirling EF210. http://www.yorkshire-aircraft.co.uk/...ire/ef210.html

Hello
ITALY
TROBRIDGE, David Arthur George - W/O(Pilot) - 1496360
Just a query on this one - is JF494 actually a Spitfire serial...?

Researching R.A.F. personnel from the North East of England
Dragging up rather an old post!
Everything I can find (notably from Tiger Moth guru Malcolm Fillmore) says that Tiger Moth N6538 was lost on 18 August 1944 whilst serving with 14 EFTS Elmdon. It crashed during aerobatics at Shustoke, Warwickshire after the ailerons jammed.
James Lister Smith 89712 was killed in Oxford L4635
