    Pavel,

    Pilot - Woodrow Walden
    Navigator - Thomas Scotland

Source - http://aviation-safety.net/wikibase/wiki.php?id=152639 (from Ocean Bridge by C A Christie)

Neither appear on the CWGC website which suggests they might have been a civilian crew.

    Hi Pavel,

Woodrow Walden, the pilot of KB593 is actually my grandfather. He indeed was a civilian pilot (working for De Havilland of Canad) who was on his first Ferry run when lost with his Navigator Tom Scotland. I have quite a bit of information on him if you need it, including the official accident report, a photo of him and a separate photo of Tom Scotland. He was also a staff pilot at the No. 1 A.O.S. in Malton in 1942, and the Canadian Aviation publication manager just before moving over to the AOS in Malton.

He's also mentioned in the following books:

The De Havilland Canada Story http://www.amazon.ca/The-De-Havillan.../dp/0969070322

    Ocean Bridge as mentioned above

    Mosquito!

    Author(s): Holliday, Joe
    Publisher(s): PaperJacks Ltd.
    ISBN: 0770101380
    Date Published: April 1980
    Format: Paperback, 266 pages.
Notes: Canadian production story. First published in hardback, 236 pages, by Doubleday Canada Ltd in Toronto, 1970.

Feel free to PM me for more information...

Default Woodrow Walden & Thomas Scotland VS KB593

    Hi Brian,

Thomas Scotland is my uncle and I would be very happy receiving all the documentation and photographs of both of the pilots.

    Thank you

    Michel Marcil Hall
