Default 107 squadron Blenheim 23 November 1940 ditched off Great Yarmouth

    L.S.,

I am looking for data of the Blenheim T1928 that ditched off Great Yarmouth on the 23rd of November 1940, in the evening hours. The reports say she was on her way back from ops in NW Germany (later understood to be Dortmund). One crew member survived.

What I am looking for is possible extra data like the time she ditched and possible data like whether she dropped her bombs on the/a target or was damaged before reaching it.

Reason for this info is to see if we can piece together which plane dropped bombs in the evening hours in the NW of The Netherlands in the middle of nowhere (= most likely an emergency drop).

    Any assistance is appreciated.

    Kind regards,
    Hendrik

    Hendrick,

Have you seen the Station and Squadron ORB's for this mission?

    Nick,

Have some data through our group, but do not have the ORB's myself. Understand other planes of the squadron bombed airports near Arnhem, Vugt and Eindhoven with timings that could (except Vught) well fit. Understand further this particular plane departed 17:25 UK time (= summertime UK, with us here also having summertime the difference is still 1 hour). Have not myself looked at the station ORB, but have (to no avail) been searching also for RNLI-, ASRMCU- or local- records considering a crewmember was rescued. But can not trace any reference, maybe looking in the wrong direction. Any further data is highly appreciated either to cut this one out or consider it (one of) possibilities.

    Kind regards,
    Hendrik
