    Hello

Blaskett was a fitter with No. 6197 Servicing Echelon, in charge of the maintenance of the Typhoons of No. 197 Squadron. He lost his life in a traffic accident, but I've never been able to find any more details about the accident (location, vehicles involved, etc...)

    Hello

HEMINGWAY, Thomas Alfred - Sgt(Pilot) - 1623470 - the Yorkshire Post of September 14th 1944 reported that he had been killed in a flying accident. The G.R.R. Form on his CWGC entry gives his unit as 7 (P) A.F.U.

HYLAND, Stanley Joseph - AC1c - 1509772 - an announcement in the Liverpool Echo of September 13th 1944 records that he died in hospital. There is a Joseph S. Hyland, born about 1906, registered in Liverpool North, September 1944, which I think is him.

    Regards

    Simon
