    Phill, Hi,

A Dudley H V Thomas birth Reg Brecknock Q3 1915 (11b 133). A Dudley Herbert V Thomas death Reg Brecknock Q2 2000 (21b 118). If that is yr man then he wasn’t 15 until 1930. If he was a Trenchard Brat then possibly your best bet is to go to the Old Haltonians site (http://www.oldhaltonians.co.uk/). His Enlistment number would remain the same if he became NCO aircrew. It would only change if/when Commissioned.

    I can do a D V H Thomas born 13 May 1909 and commissioned 1 Sep 45 before retiring 13 May 64 as Sqn Ldr OBE

    Couldn't find a D H V nor D V H in "Footprints" so suppose he was not a B/C prisoner.

I'll see if I can into the 1911 census later.

    Colin,

Many a wild goose has been chased, via a cul-de-sac, up the wrong gum trees. T'will 'appen agin! But often what comes out just tweaks somebody's memory (or memory files!) and a totally different problem is (partially?!!) solved. The RSWGC (Royal Society of Wild Goose Chasers) should be formed, and recognised!! I am prepared to offer my services as the Chief Under-Assistant Gopher in this matter!!
