Default FL. Lt. John Gordon DFC KIA 6th nov 1942

I came across this grave in a small burial ground today, I have photographed many war graves for TWGPP and don't remember this on the list.

I can't find the name on the CWGC website, I wonder if anyone here has more luck?

I think the year should read 1943. John Gordon's death is registered in the fourth qtr of 1943 at Depwade, Norfolk. Mosquito IV DZ587 of 105S DIG at Road Green Farm, Hempnall, Hardwick on 5/11/1943. Hayes RG was also killed in this incident.

    regards

Thanks, looking at the date again it is a '3'. Odd shaped one!

    I will have another look.

    Found it!

Odd thing is that according to the War Grave Photographic Project site, I have photographed the grave but don't remember it!
