    Default 103, 140, 69 Squadrons

    A tribute to my boyhood friend www.john-lowrie.com

    It refers to the service of Flying-Officer John W. Lowrie, DFC, in these three Squadrons, particularly to his service in 140 Squadron when he volunteered to be the third Navigator on a special reconnaissance flight to be carried out by 69 Squadron in Wellington NC607 which was brought down by enemy action near Maasneil (Roermond) on 23rd January 1945.
