    I n addition to LAC Balden, F/O W.W.R. Dawes, RCAF was killed in the crash of Anson 11986.

    DAVIES, Ivor John - LAC - 72 Wing.

    HANDFORD, James Frederick - LAC - He was serving with No 14 PTC and was possibly killed in a V1/V2 attack.

    Both killed when Mosquito LR559 of 132OTU flew into Beech Hill House, East Lothian, at night.
    Also killed were 4 occupants of the house:

    Hello

    COOPER, John Gerald - LAC - 3050246 - the Derbyshire Times and Chesterfield Herald of November 3rd 1944 reported that he died suddenly at "an R.A.F. station in the South West." He had been taken ill the previous Thursday [October 19th].
