    Default Service history, Beaufort DX155

    Hi all,

I am looking for the service history for Beaufort DX155. Unfortunately I do not have the Air Britain serials book covering this serial range. I am also interested to know in which factory it was built as I believe many Beaufort's were subcontracted to Blackburn.

    Many thanks,

    Jim

    Hi Jim

Good to see you on here. I don't have the AB serials book, but I've got their Beaufort File, which just says 2 O.T.U. under Units, and struck off charge on August 24th 1945. It was built at Filton, delivered between June 1942 and March 1943. I can't see any production batches built by Blackburn in the production lists.

    Cheers

    Hi Jim,
Just checked the AB Serials book and it has the same information Simon has supplied, being built by Bristols at Filton.

    Thanks Alan & Simon,

    is 44 MU mentioned anywhere?

Good to see you on here too Simon. I've been busy information gathering for a new project for the past year or two. Still getting out to the odd crash site related to the current project!

No, there's no mention of 44 M.U. There nothing but 2 O.T.U. and the S.O.C. date.

    Cheers

    Simon
