    Default Christian name help required

    Hi,

    I have all but given up on the LG site so I am hoping some kind soul will help me with the Christian names of the following : I do not have service numbers for all of them sadly.

    Group Captain H.H Downs AFC
    Group Captain E.D Barnes AFC

    Members of No.623 Squadron

    F/O R H Jobling (Squadron Engineering Leader)
    F/O H H Wright (Squadron Gunnery Leader)
    F/O B H Thompson ( MO )
    F/Lt H W Howarth (Ad-min)
    P/O L R Kennedy RNZAF 41594 (Squadron Bombing Leader)

    Steve,

    The last named was NZ41594 Leslie William KENNEDY

    He enlisted on 19 Jan 41, was commissioned 28 Apr 43 (as an air gunner) and posted to the Reserve (as a Flt Lt) on 12 Nov 45.

    Both Downs and Barnes became Air Commodores so are on my website if you want more info.

    Hi Errol.

    Have you any idea when Kennedy changed trades to the bomb aimer role ?

    Any help appreciated mate.
