Default 129243 Harold Roy Osborne RAF

    Hi all,

I would like to ask if anybody can supply me any additional information about this officer except what I already found in the LG.
I am interested mainly in his WW2 service, particularly unit and the war theatre he served in and if he was ever injured/wounded, possibly if he was a PoW (I have already checked PoW available on this site but he is not listed there).

    TIA

    Pavel, Hi,

Enlisted Apr/May 1940 (location not known). Sgt by May 1942 when Commissioned.

IF(?!) he Enlisted when he was aged 18/19 then he might possibly be:-

    Births Jun 1921
    Osborne Harold R Olderness Pontypridd 11a 1351

    HTH
    Peter Davies

Hi chaps many thanks for your posts.
Colin - your original post from 2011 is amazing! It is EXACTLY what I was looking for.
Thanks to this info I am able to solve my previous thread:

    http://www.rafcommands.com/forum/sho...or-a-long-shot

He is the man I was looking for! Unfortunately the reminiscence was not fully correct but thanks to two of our Colins I was able to find the correct man!

Many thanks once more to all who take part.
