Where can I find the ORB of RAF Station St Jean, Palestine, 1942?

Hi,

I tried to find the ORB, of RAF Station St Jean, Palestine, 1942 on the National Archives site without success. I am interested in the period when the Air echelon of No. 159 Sqn was based there (2 July-12 August 1942).

I have only found the period 1944 Feb.- Apr 1944 Nov.- 1945 Feb in AIR AIR 28/679 (ORBs from several stations). Is the ORB from 1942 missing or can it be found in another AIR 28-document?

I would say that there is no other ORB for RAF Station St. Jean held in TNA than you found already.

Do you know if there was a long-standing unit based at St Jean before Feb44 possibly a non-operational unit? You may find that the ORB for that unit includes the Base ORB...

Thanks for your replies. I have started to look for a unit based at St Jean. So far I have only found operational units based a shorter time but I will continue my search.
