    Default 603 Squadron Beaufighter Loss

    Hi all

First post. I am ex-Air Force (some considerable time back), and have been a Great War researcher. Recently got into Royal Air Force research, and still casting around for the most efficient way of researching.

On this occasion I am researching
DEAN, Charles Henry, 972257 Flight Sergeant, died Wednesday 05/07/44, age 28, 603 Sqdn., Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve. Commemorated Alamein Memorial, Egypt, column 279.
603 Sqn at Gambut 3 in NE Libya flying Beaufighter X & XIs
Squadron patrolling to Greece at the time.

Any aircraft lost by 603 around this time? Or was he groundcrew. I'd be grateful for any help.

Thanks very much John, much appreciated. Having searched on the serial I found that this aircraft and Dean and Taylor had already been discussed on the board. I'll try and search thoroughly next time. Just the one last question. Was Dean or Taylor the pilot?
