Default Loss area of Beaufort JM557 of 1 OADU

Lost 23-8-1943 at sea during a ferry flight from Portreath to Gibraltar
Who can help with a location (area) of this loss?

    Hi All
I am a little intrigued as to how an a/c in transit from Cornwall to Gibraltar gets to ditch near the Castle lent to Eisenhower on the Ayrshire Coast near Turnberry Golf Course.

Because it was a TTU loss not a OADU one.

    Gentlemen,

I apologize that I created confusion. I miscopied from the spreadsheet, making Beaufort JM557 into a 1 OADU rather than a 2 TTU machine. In fact I wanted to ask about Beaufort JM 499 of 1 OADU, lost 23-8-1943 on a ferry flight from Portreath/Cornwall, to Ras El Ma via Gibraltar, believed to be lost at sea. I'm interested to know the sea area of this loss.

    Rob
