    Default David Roteley Hall

I am researching David Roteley Hall who I believe may have carried out an operational tour with No. 58 Squadron before being posted to No. 35 Squadron.

He appears to have been with No. 58 Squadron from 1940 through to 1944 and I was wondering if anyone has any posting dates (in and out) and/or details of his operations.

Any information which helps fill in the blanks would be much appreciated.

    Regards

    Pete

I have recently come across your posts concerning my father, David Roteley Hall. He was certainly with No 35 Squadron when he was shot down over France on 5 July 1944 in the loss of ND731. I cannot recall how long he had been with No 35 Squadron. His logbook is with another family member and I will seek to recover it and let you know.

May I ask how he fits into the research you are carrying out?

    Best wishes.

Thanks for your feedback (and Terry, apologies for not acknowledging your feedback in 2014 ... my only excuse is that we were in the process of moving ... so life was a bit manic!)

As part of my No. 35 Squadron research project, I get numerous enquiries from relatives and/or other researchers asking for information on individual airmen or particular losses. Looking back through my archive I note that in this case someone was helping a family member research DR Hall's service with No 35 Squadron and the loss of his aircraft.

If you would like to e-mail me (my e-mail address is available by clicking on my name in the top left hand corner of this post) I can send you my initial findings; it may be that you have additional information that can be added.

I look forward to hearing from you.

    Regards

    Pete

As I am updating my file on this one, I thought I would see if anyone has No. 58 Squadron's ORBs and can provide any information on DR Hall's postings / operations (as per my initial post).

Any help would be much appreciated

    Regards
