Default 119 Sqn Officers photo found

I recently found a picture of 119 sqn Officers with there names written on the reverse. My step-mother's brother is one of the officers, F/L JV Gibson DFC, who was lost in 1943 (at least August). I would like to share this picture, however this forum hasn't given me permisson to post an attachment. Maybe the moderator can advise me.

    Hi Billybee,

The forum doesn't use direct uploads of photos so we can keep the spammers at bay. We use Photobucket. Just sign up there, upload your photo and paste the link into the thread.

    Billybee,

Something for you (and others), to ponder over whilst you sort out Photobucket.

    2-9-1943
    No.224 Sqn.
    Liberator GR.V FL938 'G'

Failed to return from an anti-submarine patrol over the Bay of Biscay. Shot down by Ju 88s of V./KG40.

J/6942 F/O (Pilot) Joseph Vernon GIBSON DFC RCAF +
    119546 P/O ( - ? - ) Keith Tarrant EVERY RAFVR +
    143871 P/O ( - ? - ) Vivian LOWER RAFVR +
    J/8633 F/O ( - ? - ) Ralph Henderson TIERNEY RCAF +
    R/87936 WO1 (W.Op./Air Gnr.) Albert Arthur THOMPSON RCAF +
    49812 F/O ( - ? - ) Phillip Ronald McINTOSH RAF +
    NZ402228 W/O (W.Op./Air Gnr.) William John VOCASIVICH RNZAF +
    564328 F/Sgt ( - ? - ) Harry Thomas FRENCH RAF +

All commemorated on the Runnymede Memorial.

The story doesn't end there! In several references there is mention of a Sgt K GRAVES being a member of the above crew. Errol Martyn in his Amendments to Volumes One and Two of "For Your Tomorrow"(FYT3/558) mentions the following:
Vol.2. p.138 - VOCASIVICH, W.J. - Eight crew known to have died but some uncertainty exists as to whether or not there was a ninth crew member.

1498580 F/Sgt (Pilot) Kenneth Gordon Edward GRAVES, of 224 Sqn., is known to have lost his life on 12-6-1944 in Liberator GR.V BZ940.

Be interesting to see if the research has advanced any in recent times.

With regards to F/Lt Gibson DFC, the following might be of interest:

Can anyone give me any further details on:
1498580 F/Sgt (Pilot) Kenneth Gordon Edward GRAVES, of 224 Sqn., is known to have lost his life on 12-6-1944 in Liberator GR.V BZ940, which was mentioned earlier in this thread?

I'm researching a WWII memorial board for my old school, Purley Grammar, and Ken is listed on this memorial.

    Regards

    Terry,

It would be remiss of me not to mention, that Alan Storr (who provided the information), and the CWGC, have incorrectly recorded the surname of the pilot as; JENKINSON RNZAF. It should read JENKISON RNZAF. Errol Martyn, in; For Your Tomorrow Vol.2/236, and FYT3/271, confirms this fact.
