Default Does AM 1180 record Whitley P5002 31 August 1940 on fire in the air?

    Hello

Anyone got the accident card please? Was the 58 Sdn Whitley on fire in the air and anything specifically noted about the engine? Anything crossed out?

Is the accident card marked 'ms' or 'm/s' near the C of I accident file number?

    Thanks, Mark

    Mark,
Chorley records that P5002 ran out of fuel and was abandoned near Hornsea, Yorks. All, except one of the crew, Sgt M Hill survived.

    Hello Bill
My copy of Chorley also states the aircraft ran out of fuel, but I wondered if there was any further details on the accident card.
