    Mosquito FBVI RS647 228OCU Abandoned after electrical failure in cloud over Notts. Januar 28.1.48.
    Can anyone help determine the names of the crew to this Mosquito crash.

    There are several reports in the newspapers at the time, naming the pilot as F/L John Neil Balmford, aged 21 of Reading, who was killed, and his navigator as Sgt Bernard Fearnall Hulme, who parachuted to safety. The Mosquito crashed at approximately 1 minute after midnight, near the Eakring to Kirklington road, 10 miles east of Mansfield and 20 miles north of Nottingham.
