    Default Indian General Hospitals

    Hi All

Does anyone know the location of the 74th Indian General Hospital in 1943/1944?

    Malcolm, Hi,
I had an aunt who was a Senior Sister in PMRAFNS at Mauripur in WW2. So I tried the PMRAFNS history route. Most of their sites now seem to be defunct. One can find a history (with precise dates) of all the British Field Hospitals - but no Indian Field Hospitals.
Looks like Jagan's expertise may be the answer?

PS The various Met units in the sub-continent at the same time seemed to be (variously) either staffed (mainly) by Brits or Indians. I suspect that the Medics may have adopted the same strategy?! (the Brit Field Hospital list stops at 73!!!)

We might not know - but we might know who does!

    Thanks Peter

I've found a site that lists up to 153 British General Hospital but finding details of Indian General Hospitals is proving impossible.

    Thanks Ross

I'd come across the awards before but not the war diary, unfortunately it's likely to be too expensive to get it copied for the small amount of info I'm looking for.
