    Buxton's death was recorded in the No.41 OTU ORB, he was injured on the 15th but died on the 16th.

    January 15th 1945, “22.50 An accident occurred near the W.A.A.F. Picquet Hut on the main Chester – Hawarden road, in which 643758 Cpl. Buxton and 2077062 A.C.W. Nicholas were injured by a motor lorry. Cpl Buxton died in Mostyn Hall Hospital as a result of injuries received. A.C.W. Nicholas was detained in Station Sick Quarters.”

    January 17th 1945, “Flying Officer W.R. White was detailed to hold a formal investigation into the accident which occurred on 15th January involving the death of 643758 Cpl Buxton. Flight Lieutenant H.E. Herrtage was detailed to act on behalf of the Committee of Adjustment to deal with the effects of the deceased.”
