Took off Turnberry 1015, on a non-operational flight, it climbed and then crashed into the sea, 2m off Maidens Harbour, Ayrshire. All the crew were killed.

Anson 8627 crashed on river ice at 1430, during a low-level navigational exercise. The aircraft collided with a ferry cable suspended 25 feet above the ice, near Bassano, Alberta. The Pupil Pilot and an RCAF (?) and RAF member on board were killed
