Default 10 Sqn accident, Dishforth, May 2nd 1939

    Hello everyone

Firstly, let me wish you all a very Happy New Year, and all the best for 2015.

On to business - I've come across an incident at RAF Dishforth on May 2nd 1939, which resulted in the deaths of two R.A.F. Sergeants:

Sgt Henry Albert DONALD, aged 24
Sgt Eric Cecil James FRYER, aged 26

Contemporary newspaper reports cite an "aeroplane crash at Dishforth Aerodrome", but I'm having difficulty finding a likely incident. Can anyone help with any further details?

    Regards

    Simon
