    Default Bomber Losses Mediterranean 1943

    Good Morning

I'm looking for info on a Flying Officer Paton believed KIA when his Wellington was lost on or around 21/6/43

PATON, WILLIAM Flying Officer 127187 21/06/1943 Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve United Kingdom Column 268. ALAMEIN MEMORIAL

I was originally told he died in 1942 but my copy of Bomber Losses in the Middle East and Mediterranean show no records for FO Paton that month

Does anyone have a copy of the Volume that covers 1943?

Would be grateful for any info

    Regards

    Frank

This loss is not in Volume Two, publication sadly delayed, so I assume the Wellington was either an OTU aircraft, or belonged to 36 or 38 Squadrons (anti-shipping).

    Hello,
Wellington XI HF803 of 38 Sqn seems to be the aircraft involved.
