    Default 78Sqn Halifax LW509

Halifax 111, LW509, was lost on the night of 24 Feb 1944 on the Schweinfurt raid. I am desperately trying to find out contact details of the following crew or relatives:-
Fg Off C E Melin, RAAF
    Fg Off C F Richens
    Plt Off D Laver
    Sgt K Wiseman, RCAF
    Sgt M Bradbury

Thankyou in advance to anyone who can help

I think you'll find that "Wiseman" is actually Wideman. Casualty reports show Sgt Kenneth Wideman was from Tofield, Alberta.

There is an obituary for his sister online. You should be able to make contact via them.

    Regards,

    Dave

    Hi

Clement Elais Menlin was born on 22 April 1919 and passed away on 9 Feb 2011 just two months short of his 92 birthday. He came from Melbourne. There are 4 or 5 Menlin's in the Victorian phone book.

    Regards,

    John.
