    I have some of these
W/O B. P. AVERY - don't know what 'B' is but always known as Peter
    F/Lt E. CLAYTON - Edward 'Ted'
    J. W. FOSTER - John Watson 'Johnny'
W/O S. J. LARSEN - don't know proper names but always known as 'Snaz'
    R. H. McLEOD - I think Robert/Bob
    F/O R. A. MILLER - ditto
F/Lt E. PAYTON - is this correct there was a F/Lt Jim Paton
    F/O J. A. SCOTT
    F/Sgt W. T. WARREN - William Thomas 'Bunny'
    F/O A. B. WHEELER
    N. W. WOOD
    F/Sgt S. W. WRIGHT - known as 'Wally' so I assume Walter

Thank you Peter for both probables.

I can confirm that F/Lt Norman Wright WOOD (122428) is correct. KIA 19/08/1944 - mentioned on Runnymede Memorial.

Steve Thank you very much for your reply.

W/O Avery is always mentioned in No 19 squadron ORB like B. P. Avery
F/Lt E. PAYTON is correct by ORB he flew mission on 12? (illegible day number of my ORB copy) November of 1944 with Mustang Mk.III SR433. It seems to be typing error in ORB and correct name could be Jim PATON or might be that F/Lt E. PAYTON was pilot from another squadron of No 122 Wing who flew this Escort mission with No 19 squadron.

    any idea is warmly appreciated

I can't explain "E Payton". As far as I can see 11 November 1944 is the only occasion that the name appears on Form 541. As far as I can tell there was no E Payton on the other sqns in 122 Wing - 65 or 122 Sqn My view is that it is most likely to be a clerical error but who knows?

    Ahoj Mojmir,

thanks for your searching, much appreciate. Where did you get info about Avery?
Might be that somebody from New Zealand forum members will be able to help with identification of B.P. "Pete" Avery.
